Downloading newest Core apps from Software2 (access to subscription based software)

Being part of the OCCCIO consortium we have free access to the core apps provided by Software2.  We can access the newest versions of the software by visiting this site.

How to package applications with data stored in redirected folders

At Sault College we redirect a number of folders from the local location to a network location (MyDocuments, Pictures, Music, Videos, Nethood and Desktop).  AppsAnywhere is unable to store data in Network locations because it can't use sources that aren't local to the device.  Fortunately this is easy to work around, below is an example of how this worked when packaging of Solid Works.

How to Retire (Delete) a Cloudpaged App

After a CloudPaged app is no longer needed it should be cleared from the system.  A quarterly check should be done of the environment for software that needs to be cleared.  This is important because when provisioning application the list that is presented to the AppsAnywhere provision should reflect what is up to date as much as possible.

LMS - Manual Enrollements

Manual Enrollments, for students into timetabled courses, are never done in LMS where an automation is slated to pick up and process the enrollment. 

The Holding Tank, overnight process, will undo any Student manual enrollments and correct the database by updating enrollments in LMS to match the enrollments in the Holding Tank.
