The "Request a Course Sandbox" service allows Faculty, Coordinators, and staff to create a Sandbox course in the Learning Management System (LMS) for development, testing, or copying course content. Sandboxes provide a flexible environment for building course materials, even before courses are available in the system. If you’ve been timetabled previously, you may repurpose existing courses as Sandboxes—contact the IT Service Desk for guidance.
Who can request this service?
Faculty members, Faculty Coordinators, and staff seeking a Sandbox course in the LMS for development, testing, or copying course content, including before courses are available in the system.
When is this service available?
Available 24/7 via the TeamDynamix Service Portal, with processing during IT Service Desk business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM).
Before you request this service, you will need to...
-
Determine the purpose of the Sandbox (e.g., development, testing, or copying course content).
-
If copying content, identify the Timetabled Faculty or Faculty Coordinator who will grant Facilitator Access.
-
If you have been timetabled before, check if you can repurpose an existing course as a Sandbox instead of requesting a new one.
-
Ensure you are on the Coordinator’s List (if requesting as a Coordinator) or have approval from the Timetabled Faculty (if applicable).
Note to Requestors: If you have been timetabled for previous courses, you may be able to use those courses as Sandboxes for development or testing purposes instead of requesting a new Sandbox. Contact the IT Service Desk for assistance in re-purposing existing courses.
