How do I change my login password?

Overview

It is good practice to periodically change your password.  You change your password using your Old Password and then enter your desired New Password.

IMPORTANT! - Please do not attempt to change your password to something that you have previously used at the College. Always create a brand new password or you may encounter issues accessing College resources. Thank you.

Instructions

  1. Go to: https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/changepassword.aspx 
  2. If you are not already logged in to Office 365 with your Sault College account you will prompted to do so.  If you are logged in, skip to step 3.
    1. If you may see a generic Microsoft login, which asks for email, phone, Skype for login.
    2. Use you Sault College login, for students this is your [student number]@saultcollege.ca, if you are an employee use your first initital + last name @saultcollege.ca (example 123456789@saultcollege.ca or jsmith@saultcollege.ca)
    3. The screen should now look more familiar with Sault College branding.  Enter your password
    4. You will be asked if you would like to stay signed in, choose "No".
  3. Enter your Old Password, then your New Password, then your New Password a second time to make sure it was typed correctly.
  4. IMPORTANT! - Please do not attempt to change your password to something that you have previously used at the College. Always create a brand new password or you may encounter issues accessing College resources. Thank you.

  5. Click the Submit button.
