Installing a Cloud Based College Printer

The College has changed to “cloud based printing”.  This will allow you to print to College printers that are available to you from “anywhere” (whether you are at the College or not).  If you are not at the College, you do not have to be on the VPN.  Please note that secure printing is not available at this time.  Printer naming conventions continue to be based on the room / location number that the printer is located in.

Adding a printer.

  • Click on the Start button, click on Settings.

  • Click Devices

  • Click Printers & Scanners

  • Click – Add a Printer or Scanner

  • If the printer you are looking for is not on the list click on Search Universal Print for printer (located below the list of printers)

  • Click Please select a search Location

  • You will now see a list of all locations in the college with printers

Click the Wing your printer is located in then click OK

Click Search

  • List of printers in the Wing will appear.  Select the printer you want to install.

  • Click Add Device

  • The printer will begin to install.

  • Once the printer is installed it will be listed as Ready
