Connect to SCWireless WiFi (On Campus)

Overview

You can connect to SCWireless ​​​WiFi while on campus using your staff or student credentials. There are configuration options for Android, iOS, MacOS and Windows 10 based devices. 

 

Instructions

 

Android

1) On an Android device first go to Settings by pressing the cog wheel.  

2) Press Network and Internet 

3) Press Wi-Fi 

If this is the first time setting up SCWireless skip to Step 6 

4) Press the cog wheel to the right of “SCWireless” 

5) Press “Forget” (This will clear out any old settings) 

6) Now press "SCWireless" in the list of Wi-Fi networks visible 

     Use these settings:  

     EAP Method:  PEAP 

     Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2 

     CA certificate: Do Not Validate 

     Identity: UserName / Student Number 

     Anonymous identity: leave this field blank 

     Password: Sault College password  

Press connect and it should connect. If it does not then you may want to re-check that the password has been entered correctly. 

 

iPhone

1) Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, then turn on Wi-Fi. 

2) Tap "SCWireless": Enter the password. Use student# or staff username and password. 

 

Mac OS

1) Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar, then choose a 'SCWireless' from the menu. 

2) Enter username and password. Use student# or staff username and password. 

 

Windows 10

1) Select the Network Expanding curves Wi-Fi icon icon on the taskbar. The icon that appears depends on your current connection state. If you don’t see one of the network icons (or a similar one) shown in the following image, select the Up arrow Up arrow icon to see if it appears there.

2) Choose "SCWireless" network, then select Connect.

3) Type the network password, and then select Next. Use your student# or staff username and password.
