Clockwork Cloud - How to setup cdelegate access in Outlook for syncing both calendars

Overview

Once Clockwork is installed and working, some staff may have access to the Outlook Sync functionality.  To use this Outlook needs to have a delegate account added and Matt Trainor has to ensure the staff member has been granted access on the Clockwork system.

How do I add delegate access to my Outlook Sync account?

To set this up or make any changes, in the Outlook Ribbon bar, click on:

  • File
  • Info
  • Account settings
  • Delegate access

In the delegate dialog box that pops up, select Add.

Note: If you already see the name Clockwork Delegate, select it and click Permissions to review your settings.  Then jump to Adding Permissions section below.
Note: If you don't see the Clockwork Delegate name then Outlook Sync has never been setup for your Outlook account.  To get access please see the Director of Student Services.

Type the name of the person you want to designate as the delegate (please use Clockwork Delegate).

Click Add and then OK

Adding Permissions

In the Delegates Permission box in the next window Clockwork needs us to set up custom access for it to work. Clockwork REQUIRES Editor permissions for the Clockwork Delegate account. Without Editor permissions, a full sync cannot be achieved.

  • Calendar - Editor
  • Contacts - Editor
  • Tasks - Editor
  • Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me - Uncheck
  • Delegate can see my private items - This option is up to you. Outlook Calendars items can be marked as Private and that is what this setting is referring too.
Note: It is very important to remove the check box beside "Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me"
