This guide will give you a complete guide to restoring a Latitude 5411, 5420 and 5421 to factory settings. It's important to note that you will need a 16GB USB to install the Windows Recovery Tool.

- Download and install the Dell OS Recovery tool from Dell website.

- Open the Dell-USB-Recovery-Tool-Application_VYFNW_WIN_2.3.7012.0_A00 installation file that you just downloaded and select, INSTALL.

- Click CLOSE to complete the installation of the Dell USB Recovery Tool Application.

- Open the application and enter the service tag of the computer being serviced and click the search icon.

Once device is populated, click NEXT.

- Insert the USB drive into your computer. Select the USB drive and check the “I understand that the selected drive will be reformatted and existing data will be deleted” and then click DOWNLOAD.
Download can take anywhere between 15/20 minutes.
- This is the completion screen when the OS Recovery Tool is finished being installed on the USB Drive.

- Insert USB Drive into device and tap F12 key when Dell logo appears. Once in BIOS screen select the USB Drive and hit enter.

A SupportAssist OS Recovery screen will appear. Let the screen load.

- Click APPROVE once the SupportAssist OS Recovery screen loads.

- Click Reset

- Verify the device has an internet connection and click, "NEXT".

- Click the check box for the, "Microsoft Software License Terms and the Dell's End User License Agreement" and click, "No do not transfer my settings and data".

- Click, NEXT to confirm your reset.

- Confirm your reset by selecting, "YES, CONTINUE"

- Confirm your reset and click, NEXT.

- Reset and update is now in progress. This process can take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes.

- Reset is complete when you are prompted with this screen. Remove the USB Drive and restart laptop.

- When the computer restarts, you'll see multiple screens appear such as an, "Administrator- Preparing Windows" and a, "Transferring your system data and settings" screen. This process takes about 10/15 minutes to load. When these processes finish, you'll see a, "Welcome to Sault College" screen.

The laptop is now ready to be deployed.
