Activating Panasonic Security Camera Software on New Laptop

License Activation Procedure

Here are the steps to follow while installing the ASM-300 software on a new laptop or PC. Keep in mind, you only need to follow this process if this software has never been installed on the computer previously. If you are reinstalling the ASM300 Software on a computer that the software has been installed on before then prior to deleting the old install,  open the ASM-300 software as ADMIN go to “Setting” then” Registration of license” take note of the MPR ID and the Registration Key as they are needed to activate the reinstall. Also, under “Maintenance” “Save/Load” save the backup datafile Setupdata_20240131144023 and re-load to new install. That’s all that is required for a reinstall.

Instructions - New Install [New Computer]

1. We use 2 types of installs Full and Lite see Appendix (A)
2. Install ASM300 on the PC you plan to license (\\vmitfs01p\SupportServices\AV\Panasonic Security Cameras\WV-ASM300_V420\1 Video Surveillance Software)
3. Launch the app and take note of the MPR ID
4. If Installing the Lite Version, Logon to the Panasonic Key Registration website. And use the following to registration info to install.
   1. MPR-ID (your MPR-ID)
   2. USE Activation Key :0408-0065-000A-BC01
   3. And Registration ID 5197-EC85
   4. Your MPR ID along with the Activation Key and the Registration ID on the Panasonic site will generate a Registration Key This Registration Key is what you will type into the ASM300 on your computer to activate the copy of ASM300 Light Version.
5. If installing the Full version and you don’t know the old MPR ID, Activation and Registration Keys that you need to have reissued then Logon to the Panasonic Key registration site https://kms.business.panasonic.net/ipkms/pc/home.htm Under Issue History “Search Registration Key” Tab you will find a listing of all the previously issued Registration keys see Appendix “B” 
6. To have a key reissued Send this email to: CCTV_Support@ca.panasonic.com with subject line:  Issue Registration Key for [F700-0006-3A5A-8CD1] (Use the MRP ID from the new registration)

7. Hello,

   We have just replaced the computer which had the following software installed on it (ASM-300) and need the license reset so we can activate on the new laptop. The information from the old Computer is. 

   MRP ID   9400-0006-9588-224F (Found in the original email when originally activated)

   Activation Key   0234-0066-0000-0D4A (Found in the original email when originally activated)

   Registration Key   0800-3857-2440-7080 (Found in the original email when originally activated)

   Location Sault College Testing Centre 2 (Use the name of the location you are registering)

8. Panasonic will send you an activation email link. Access the KMS Site from the email: https://kms.business.panasonic.net/ipkms/pc/home.htm
9. Login with our credentials
10. Once logged in, select "Issue Registration Key", and click Next Step
11. From the product list, select "Management Software -ASM series- ", and click Next Step
12. Enter the new MPR ID shown on the computer you are registering
13. Enter the Activation Key and Registration ID numbers provided when the license was purchased
14. Click End of Enter (Go to Next Step)
15. Confirm the email, or add another email that will receive activation details, then click Issue
16. Take note of the Registration Key. Make sure to print the email with the new registration and file it with the rest so that other technicians have the info they need.
17. Launch ASM300
18. Enter this Registration Key number in the registration menu when prompted on the ASM300
19. Create an ADMIN account and login with it
20. Go to settings > Maintenance > Save/Load
21. Load the backup file from a working installation

APPENDIX (A)

1. We have 2 types of installs
   1. Lite Version 16 cameras,1 recorder Note the setup Datafile is unique to each location.
      1. Teaching centre (Cameras only)
      2. Athletics (Cameras only)
   2. Full Version.
      1. ADMIN (Full access)
      2. Security (Full operation only no configuration or setup)
      3. Res. Security (same as Security limited to Res Cameras only)
      4. All others with full access. (Same as Security).
   3. Note for a Full Version install use the setup Datafile from the Security’s PC it holds the most recent changes and all the end user account profiles like Res. Security (Res Cameras only) restrictions.    

APPENDIX (B) Sample of Previous issued Activation Keys (from Panasonic’s Web Site)
