Overview
Cengage is integrated directly with D2L Brightspace using the College's current LTI Advantage (LTI 1.3) integration.
Faculty using supported Cengage courseware can access Cengage from within their D2L course and add Cengage content to a module.
This article explains how faculty can access Cengage, where to get support, and when an issue should be directed to College LMS Support instead.

Student Support
Students who can successfully open Cengage content from D2L should contact Cengage Support directly for Cengage-related technical issues.
This includes:
- Cengage account or login issues
- Access code or purchasing questions (Ask you Faculty member first)
- Problems opening Cengage content after Cengage has launched
- Errors within MindTap, WebAssign, SAM, CNOWv2, or other Cengage products
- Browser or device issues affecting Cengage
- Technical questions about using Cengage assignments or activities
- If a student has a question about an assignment, due date, course setup, or a grade that appears incorrect or has not transferred to D2L, they should contact their faculty member first.
When to Contact College LMS Support
College LMS Support should only be contacted when the issue appears to be with D2L access or the College's Cengage integration.
Examples include:
- Cengage Content is missing from the Third Party section for faculty
- A Cengage link provided by the faculty member is missing for a student
- Cengage cannot be launched from D2L at all
- The user cannot access the D2L course
- There is a D2L enrolment or permission issue
- The D2L course or instructor role does not appear to have access to the Cengage integration
- If Cengage successfully opens from D2L and the issue occurs after launch, the issue should normally be directed to Cengage Support rather than College LMS Support.
