This article focuses on the process steps to organize the file structure up to the point of capturing the application to cloudify.  

Instructions

  1. Download or gain access to the needed software

    1. Navigate to \\mvmitdat01p\ScitSoftwareRepository\EndUserApplications\~ Apps Anywhere Software\

      1. Create a folder here to reflects the title of the software

      2. Under this new folder, create a folder to reflect only the version of the software you are working on

        - eg. 1.25.87

        • Store the new software in this folder

  2. Navigate to \\appsrepo\working files

  • Create a folder here to reflect the title of the software
  • Under this new folder, create a folder to reflect only the version of the software you are working on

- eg. 1.25.87

Create two folder under this folder

  • Rel1 - This stands for (Release version)
    • Once you finalized your application the STP files go here (Cut and Paste from the wip1 folder - next)
  • Wip1 - This stands for Work in progress
    •  STW files go here

Copy the SC Recipe Template word file from "<\\appsrepo\working files>"  and pasts in this folder, rename it "softwaretitle version Recipe"

Open up VMWareWorkstation Pro on your workstation (Randy, Phil, Andrew T.) and goto your Studio VM to start developing

Open your new Recipe and start filling it it while you capture the new software package.
