Overview

When we complete a new order for a Automation Studio you'll need to update the license server.

Instructions

From your jump host RDP to vmlicx12p or LICAUTOMATION

Run Automation Studio License Manager

On the left side click License Manager click Configuration

Click Update

Enter the (new) Codes

Click Update

If the license is accurate you will receive a “Successfully execute!” message

Click OK

To reinstall your Automation Studio version 6.4.0.20307 license server on a new server, follow these steps:

1. Download the Software:

   • If we are within the maintenance period, always reach out to Famic support for downloads
     
     If we are outside of the maintenance period, and we don't have previously supplied links to download you can try using B&R Automation Website
   • New versions, not supplied from Famic can be fuond here: Visit the B&R Automation website.
   • Navigate to the Downloads section and locate the appropriate version of Automation Studio.
   • Download the necessary installation files for version 6.4.0.20307.

2. Install the Software:

   • Extract the downloaded files.
   • Run the Install.exe file and follow the installation prompts.
   • Ensure you select the USB Technology Guard driver during the installation process.

3. Set Up the License:

   • Connect your USB Technology Guard dongle to the new server.
   • Use the Technology Guarding software to activate the license. This involves setting up your Technology Guarding credentials and selecting the dongle.

4. Support Information:

   • If you encounter any issues, you can contact B&R support through their support portal².
