Overview
Accessing and managing your AppsAnywhere development environment can be accomplished by following these instructions.
Access your VM Environment
- RDP to VMSSAH01P
- Run Hyper-V Manager
- Run Connect to Server... to access our VM environment
- Under Select computer type HDCAAHV01P
- Click OK
- You should now see your list of VMs
There are two VMs for you to use, Studio and Player.
NOTE: The Player VM (General - Cloudpaging PLAYER) is a shared VM so ensure to log off when you are done testing an app.

- Right Click your VM
- Click Connect
- Click Start
Recommendation: Change your screen resolution as required (I recommend full 1600 x 900)
Studio
- Username: AppsAnyAdmin
- Password: AppsAnyAdmin
- Background image is set to easily identify this as your Studio VM
- Specifications
- Default size is 80GBs, this can be extended if needed.
- Ram 8GBs
- CPU - 2 cores
Player
- Username: AppsAnyUser
- Password: AppsAnyUser
- Background image is set to easily identify this as the Player VM.
- Specifications
- Default size is 80GBs, this can be extended if needed.
- Ram 8GBs
- CPU - 2 cores
NOTE: AppsAnyAdmin exists here as well but is only needed for managing the VM.

If you accidentally login as AppsAnyAdmin you will be greeted with the WallPaper telling you
"Don't use Admin to test packages"
How to create checkpoints (also know as snapshots)
As you build apps you may want to create a checkpoint so you can roll back to a previous state.
Hyper-V checkpoints can be created using one of two ways: Hyper-V Manager or PowerShell.
Using Hyper-V Manager
- Open Hyper-V Manager
- Shutdown the VM you want to create a Checkpoint for
- Select the VM for which the checkpoint will be created
- Right-click the name of the VM, and then click the Checkpoint.

- The checkpoint is created and can be accessed in the Checkpoints section below.

Renaming your new Checkpoint
- Right Click your VM name
- Choose Rename...

- Add more detail to the beginning of th name. The the below case I added STARTING POINT
